Shopping without both kids

My four year old son went with his grandparents yesterday for the weekend. My hubby and I decided that today would be the opportune time to do a little bit of shopping without him pestering us for something that he wanted. Since it was nice out our daughter didn't have any problems going out with us. We went to Ross Dress for Less and got so much for only $84. We got new Sealy pillows and a mattress pad that we so desperately needed. We have both been tossing and turning for a while now. Underneath our eyes looks like we have not slept in days even though we go to bed at a decent hour.

Also at Ross, we got some newborn socks that looked like mini converse (I will add a picture of them later when my daughter actually wears them). They are adorable. We got our son some DC brand skate style shoes that he will be able to wear in the Spring. And as an impulse buy. my hubby got a new wallet since he has not had one in three years. It was time to be replaced! Not bad for $84.

We then headed to WalMart to pick up some odds and ends like socks, underwear, ink for the printer...and our daughter desperately needed a playmat. We just happened to look and saw that the Sealy mattress pad cover that we had bought at Ross was $50 at WalMart. We paid only $20 at Ross! We were ecstatic.

Great shopping day that also included a splurge at Starbucks inbetween for a pick me up.

Anyone else just love Ross?
